Let's Talk H2O

I think the two most essential things that we take for granted is oxygen and water. These two things are what make everything possible yet sometimes, we neglect them. Oxygen is inevitable, but water is a commitment that people hardly take.

Water intake is so important and we don't take it seriously until it is evident to us that we're dehydrated. Here are few signs of dehydration:

  1. Dry Mouth
  2. Dry Eyes
  3. Dry Skin
  4. Dry Lips
  5. Heavily Pigmented Urine if able to urinate
Especially during the dry season in California, dehydration is spreading like wildfire. Why is it important to stay hydrated? Keeping the water coming can help you with:

  • Keeping your bodily fluids in check and balance
  • Helping you lose weight
  • Keeping your skin looking beautiful
  • Helping with digestion
Of course, water is what keeps us alive and it's important to keep enough of it in our bodies to function properly and to the best of our body's ability. I highly recommend you to take a sip every once in awhile and keep a bottle of water with you wherever you go. Don't get to the point of dehydration, prevent it and keep yourself up to par by drinking whenever you can.

Now, people often say you're supposed to drink 8 oz of water everyday, but there isn't exactly a specific amount you are supposed to have. If you're more active, you should drink significantly more to prevent from quick dehydration and might lead to passing out. I'm no professional so I can't exactly give you a specific number so you should just drink whenever you can and as much as you feel you need.

Stay hydrated, folks!
